GKG Titan Solder Paste Printer

AEM has acquired the GKG Titan, a state-of-the-art solder printing machine used for precise application of solder paste before SMT population. This machine comes equipped with built in solder paste inspection (SPI), which can detect print misalignments, lack of solder paste, and solder bridges. At the same time, the automated vision system is able to detect defects in the stencil, ensuring the stencils are cleaned thoroughly to prevent manufacturing defects down the line. The printer also features a Paste Rolling Diameter Checking System, which ensures the diameter of the solder paste volume applied is consistent throughout the process.

Surface-Mounted Technology (SMT Line)

AEM utilizes advanced SMT Pick and Place machines for accurate and efficient component placement. Our recently acquired Juki RS-1R can place components at speeds of 47,000 CPH per head, placing components as small as 0201 (Metric) up to 74mm square or 50 x 150mm rectangular parts. The RS-1R has a self-optimizing smart head, also known as the "Takumi Head". This feature allows the head to adjust in height to optimize placement efficiency and throughput, by reducing travel distance from the feeders to the PCB being populated. This machine comes equipped with "On-The-Fly" centering technology, using advanced laser systems to determine component orientation and place components with an accuracy of +- 0.035mm. The RS-1R also comes equipped with an advanced vision system, which is essential for components that require high-accuracy placement.

Multi-Zone Reflow Oven

AEM utilizes the Heller 1707EXL reflow oven, engineered to deliver precise and consistent results across a wide range of PCB assemblies. Featuring 14 independent heating zones, this advanced system allows us to fine-tune temperature profiles to your exact design specifications. Whether it’s single-sided, double-sided, or complex multi-layered boards, our reflow process ensures optimal solder joints and high-quality every time.

Cleaning/De-Fluxing System

For products that require minimal or no flux residue post-assembly, our facility is equipped with the Aqueous 1000-LD, a high-performance board cleaning system. This advanced machine allows us to offer thorough PCB defluxing services suitable for both no-clean and water-soluble processes, ensuring your boards meet the highest standards of cleanliness, reliability, and performance.

X-Ray Inspection System

AEM is equipped with X-Ray Inspection equipment, specialized in identifying solder defects underneath the pads of components. This equipment is essential for products that include packages such as BGA (Ball Grid Array), QFN (Quad Flat No-Lead), and LGA (Land Grid Array).
